The Inspector-General of Police, Mr James Oppong-Boanuh has assured political parties of fairness in the delivery of security and its related matters ahead of this year’s election.
In a meeting together with members of the Police Management Board and leadership of the various political parties at the Police Headquarters, Accra, on Thursday 25 June 2020, the IGP called for collaboration from political parties to ensure maximum fairness is meted out in terms of security services.
He stated, “crime has no colours and so, is security.”
The various political parties noted that confidence in the police must come from individual police officers who exhibit professionalism in the course of their duty.
Mr Boanuh affirmed the police’s commitment to professionalism especially, in this electioneering period.
