‘Even Jesus Christ Would Give Contracts To His Own People If He Was A DCE’ – NDC Communicator Rubbishes Manasseh Azure’s Expose’

A senior member of the Upper East Regional Communications Team of the NDC, Abdallah Salifu Jonathan has rubbished the much publicized Bongo District Assembly put forward by investigative journalist, Manasseh Azure Awuni.

Manasseh Azure, in his latest investigative piece for “The Fourth Estate” revealed what he described as a murky and shaky contract which appears to have been awarded by the Bongo District Assembly to elements within the Assembly.

The investigation reveals that persons within the Assembly used an individual’s company as a front to win that contract without the individual’s concern or approval.

The expose’ further reveals how the members of the Assembly appears to have connived with management of the Maltaaba Community Bank in Bongo to withdraw the contract amount from a 3rd party account without the approval of the account holder.

However, according to the NDC’s Abdallah Salifu, the whole expose’ is blowing the whole issue entirely out of proportion.

Mr. Abdallah Salifu believes the practice is not entirely wrong and sees no reason why this should be a subject of an investigation.

According to Mr Salifu, giving contracts to civil servants and members of the Bongo Assembly could be a means of appreciating the effort of the said persons and not necessarily wrong.

Mr Salifu insisted that even if Jesus Christ was a DCE, he will definitely give jobs to technocrats.
