Emerging reports indicate that two deputy CEO’s, and other top directors at the National Health Insurance Authority have tested positive for COVID-19.
This worrying news comes barely 24 hours after it was revealed that the CEO of the Authority, Dr Dsane Selby had tested positive for the virus.
It is reported that the two deputy CEO’s tested positive after contact tracing following the CEO’s positive test.
Among the executives who have reportedly tested positive are Deputy CEO Finance and Investment, Deputy CEO HR and Administration and Deputy CEO Operations.
Ghana’s case count now stands at 12,590 cases with 4,410 recoveries and 66 deaths. In all, four government officials have been reported to have tested positive for the virus, with one death recorded so far.
