MP for Ningo Prampram, Sam George has said that his loyalty lies with his political party, the NDC even before the country, Ghana.
According to him, his main purpose as an MP is to serve the interest of his political party before he thinks of Ghana.
He explained that since he is in Parliament on the ticket of the NDC, it is only natural that he pursues the interest of his party first.
The Controversial MP made this statement when he appeared on Metro TV’s Good Evening Ghana.
Sam George also disclosed that he voted against some Ministerial nominees of President Akufo-Addo including Minister for Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah because that was what his Party wanted.
Sam George’s logic has sparked a debate on social media as to the loyalty of MPs paid with the Country’s taxes.
The truth is Sam George was being brutally honest, because this is how many politicians think and behave.
However, Ghanaians are worried because it is pretty obvious that if our politicians have to choose between the interest of Ghana and their parochial partisan interest, they will most definitely choose the latter.
