Finance Minister nominee, Ken Ofori-Atta has returned to the country after travelling to the USA to treat Covid-19 complications.
A report by Asaase Radio, stated that, upon his arrival via Delta Air at the Kotoka International Airport on Saturday, March 20, he drove straight to the Jubilee House, the seat of the country’s presidency to inform the President of the Republic, Akufo-Addo of his recovery and return back to base.
In his absence, Majority Leader, Osei Kyei-Mensah Bonsu stood in his stead to present the 2021 budge to Parliament.
Mr Ofori-Atta is yet to be vetted and it’s likely the Appointments Committee will find an appropriate time to vet him.
