President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has placed another ban on funerals, weddings and concerts in order to bring under control the rate of coronavirus infections in the country.
The President, in his 23rd address to the Nation on Ghana’s fight against coronavirus said this has become necessary in order to curtail the spread of the virus.
The President’s directive also effectively halts a planned funeral by the Anlo Traditional Council to celebrate the life of the departed JJ Rawlings who was a titled chief of Anlo.
The Anlo Chiefs had boycotted the state funeral organized by the government for the departed Statesman on the grounds that they were not adequately consulted.
