Embattled businessman and member of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Alfred Woyome has revealed that Government of Ghana has evidence of whoever benefitted from the GH¢51m judgment debt paid him by the state.
He referenced EOCO that they have all the necessary proof needed to expose whoever has a hand in how the money was disbursed.
Speaking on CITI TV’s Face2face show, Mr Woyome said the Government of Ghana is in a better position to tell you how much money has gone to “who and who. They had EOCO take all the accounts. They know and have all those evidence. They know where this went to and where that went to. They should come out and tell the people they should bring the money.”
Woyome has been involved in a legal tussle with the government after the Supreme Court ordered a refund of all monies wrongfully paid to him in the form of the judgment debt on June 14, 2013.
He has stressed his innocence since then and have sought various means to seek legal redress.
Minister for National Security, Mr Albert Kan Dapaah, has suggested that assets of private businessman Alfred Agbesi Woyome, which were to be auctioned by the state to defray some money he owes the state should be surrendered to the state to “obviate the need for an auction.”
