9 Of My Father’s 17 Children Are Christians; I Have What It Takes To Unite Christians And Muslims – Bawumia Tells Delegates

Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia has assured delegates of the New Patriotic Party in the Obuasi Municipality that he has what it takes to bring unity among Christians and Muslims owing to the religious dynamics in his own family.

According to the VEEP, out of his father’s 17 children, 9 are Christians, while the remaining 8 are Muslims.

Dr. Bawumia stressed that despite this religious dynamism in his family, it has not affected the way they respect and relate to each other.

The Vice President further narrated that despite his religious background as a Muslim, he cut his religious teeth in the Methodist Church as a member of the Methodist Boys Brigade.

Dr. Bawumia was addressing hundreds of delegates of the NPP in the Obuasi Municipality at the Bidieso Central Assembly of The Church of Pentecost as part of his Ashanti Regional tour.
