$5 Million Bribe: CHRAJ Suspends Probe Into Chief Justice’s Bribe Allegation

The Commission for Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) has suspended a probe into the alleged $5 million bribe issue against the Chief Justice.

A Petition was laid before the commission by pressure group, ASEPA to probe the alleged bribery against the learned chief justice.

The said bribery allegation was made by a Kumasi-based lawyer, Kwame Afrifa.

According to lawyer Afrifa, who was answering to charges levelled against him at the disciplinary committee of the General Legal Council, the chief justice demanded a $5 million bribe from his former client, Ogyeedom Obranu Kwasi Atta VI.

According to CHRAJ, it has had to suspend the probe into the matter after their attention was drawn to the fact that the group has also petitioned the President to initiate impeachment proceedings against him.
