4 Relatives Sent To Bring Back Dead Body Of Paralympic Coach Run Away After Arriving In Norway

In a surprising turn of events, four relatives who were sent to Norway to retrieve the body of a deceased para-athlete have absconded after arriving in the European country. This revelation was made by Samson Deen, the president of the National Paralympic Committee (NPC), during an interview on the Asaase Breakfast Show.

The NPC has recently faced significant criticism after reports emerged that several para-athletes who traveled to Norway for the Fjordkraft Bergen City Marathon went missing upon their arrival in Oslo. According to a statement from the Ministry of National Security, 11 athletes were supposed to participate in the marathon but failed to even register for the competition.

This incident adds to the mounting scrutiny of the NPC, raising concerns about the management and oversight of international travel arrangements for Ghanaian athletes. The absconding of both the para-athletes and the relatives sent to retrieve the deceased athlete’s body has sparked a broader conversation about the potential misuse of travel opportunities and the measures needed to prevent such occurrences in the future.

As investigations continue, the NPC and other relevant authorities are expected to take steps to address these issues and ensure that similar incidents do not happen again.
