Zongo Chiefs Pray Supreme Court Treat Mahama Like They Did To Akufo-Addo In 2012

Leader of the Council of Zongo Chiefs in the Ashanti Region, Naaba Musah Akambounga has urged the Supreme Court to deal with the petition of John Dramani Mahama over the results of the 2020 polls just as they did to Akufo-Addo in 2012.

Speaking to a Kumasi based radio station, Chief Naaba noted that President Akufo-Addo was massively endorsed by Ghanaians to continue his transformation agenda.

Admitting that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and John Mahama have every right to challenge the results of the elections in court, he prayed that they lose the petition just as Akufo-Addo and the NPP lost in 2012.

The NDC have filed their petition to challenge the legitimacy of Akufo-Addo as President-elect in the 2020 polls.
