You Want Ghana Fixed But Don’t Want to Pay Taxes – Gabby Slams Ghanaians Over MoMo Tax Criticism

Gabby Asare Otchere Darko has questioned the motive of Ghanaians with respect to getting the country developed.

In a post on social media he wondered how Ghanaians expect the country to be fixed when they are against efforts by government to raise revenue.

“Ghana’s development paradox. You say you want the country fixed. Yet, you are against raising revenue to get it fixed! Motives matter!” he wrote on twitter.

The Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta last week while reading the 2022 budget announced the imposition of 1.75% tax on all mobile money transactions above GHS100 per day.

This has received massive backlash from Ghanaians who have called for a review of the decision.
