You Have Treated The People Like Vile Animals, Why Won’t They Vent Their Anger On An Innocent MP? – A Plus Cautions Politicians

Musician turned political activist, Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A Plus has cautioned politicians to be mindful of the fact that the people may one day rise against them if they continue to treat them (the people) like vile animals.

A Plus was reacting to a ghanaweb story in which a young man had served an 11 year jail term for stealing a paltry GHS10.

According to A Plus, politicians steal billions and yet they walk free, while the same system jails a 15 year old for 25 years because he stole GHS10.

In a Facebook post, he wrote, “At 15 years of age, this guy was arrested and sentenced to prison for 11 year for stealing ten Ghana cedis. (10.00) But politicians steal millions and billions of our money but walk free.

Now you see how some people have vented their anger on an innocent MP? What were they reported to have said before they shot him? If you politician are not careful, it will get worse. You don’t care about the people.

You have treated the people like vile animals to the chariots of kings. This system which jails a 15-year-old boy for 25 years and where he serves 11 years 2 months out of it because he stole 10 Ghana cedis while the real criminals walk free will crash one day. The people are very angry. Something serious must be done immediately or one day one day, the people will rise up against the system and innocent souls like the MP will be lost”.
