Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko, staunch member of the New Patriotic Party and cousin to President Akufo-Addo has chided the National Democratic Congress and its flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama over their ‘rescue mission’ as campaign message ahead of the 2020 polls.

According to him when Mahama found himself within the corridors of power, it took the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to rescue him from the failing economy yet he’s turned around to claim he’s on a rescue mission to save Ghanaians.

He urged the NDC to get serious.

A campaign message must be believable. Don’t promise to do something voters know you are not capable of doing. You called for external hands to rescue the economy for you when you were in office. Now, you say you are on a “rescue mission” and voters must believe you? Be serious!” he tweeted.
