With or Without E-levy, Ghana Will Go To IMF – Sulemana Braimah

The Executive Director of the Media Foundation for West Africa, Sulemana Braimah has insisted Ghana will be going to the IMF even if the Electronic Transaction bill is passed.

In a post on social media he said the government has mismanaged the economy to the extent that nothing can save it and not even the much touted e-levy.

According to him government hides behind Covid-19 as reason for the economic woes however, corruption and mismanagement has been the order of the day since the NPP government took over the reins of power.

He said the government has only being engaged in Public relations to make the country look good however, the reality on the ground is a different scenario.

Meanwhile the finance minister, Ken Ofori-Atta has insisted that Ghana will not be going to the IMF no matter what.

He said the E-levy will be passed to fund developmental projects.
