We’ll Sack You If You Step Foot In Our Palace – Tema Traditional Council to Carlos Ahenkorah

Tema West MP, Carlos Ahenkorah has been barred from steeping foot in the palace of the Tema Traditional Council.

According to the Council, the Member of Parliament had failed to accord them the needed respect since he was elected.

As reported by the Chronicle, the Shipi of the council, Nii Armah Somponu III insisted Mr Ahenkorah would be embarassed should he try to play smart and step there with President Akufo Addo.

He stated, “let me be clear with you and say this once again, we do not want to see Carlos Ahenkorah here at the palace. His demonstration of attitude since he became MP for Tema West towards is clear that he doesn’t respect or recognize us and the paramountcy.”

He added, “If we see him at the palace, I can bet you that we will embarrass him in the full glare of the people. If, on the other hand he plays smart to accompany the president to our event, we will politely sack him to save the image of the president.”

Carlos Ahenkorah had been in the news recently for defying Covid-19 protocols to visit registration centres while positive for Covid-19.

He has since been relieved of his position as deputy Minister for Trade and Industry. Pressure continues to be mounted on him to step down as MP for Tema West.
