Member of Parliament for Asante Mampong, Kwaku Ampratwum has admitted that the NPP may suffer a devastating defeat if elections were to be held today.

According to him, a lot of work needs to be done by the Party if we really plan to break the eight since the situation on the ground doesn’t look good.

“We say we are going to change destiny, we are going to make history, we are going to break the eight. Today we know what the situation is on the ground. I will tell you honestly that if elections are conducted today, NPP will lose.

White is white, black is black. I will say it and tell it, I am on the ground, I know what is going on, I hear what my constituents are saying, I know what is going on in Accra, all over, intelligentsia, middle class, lower class, you name it. I’m talking about today’s matter, we have an uphill task, big task,” he said while addressing members of the governing party.

The NPP is gearing up to elect new leaders at the regional level as the Party reorganizes ahead of the 2024 elections.
