The New Patriotic Party(NPP) has clarified the statement issued on Wednesday, 9/11/2022 ordering the Majority Caucus to abstain from the vote of censure against the Minister of Finance, Ken Ofori- Atta.

According to Deputy General Secretary of the Party, Dr Antoinette Tsiboe Darko, the statement was released because of the Minority caucus’ action against the Finance Minister.

Dr Antoinette Tsiboe Darko in an interview on Wontumi TV Morning Show said some of the allegations made by the Minority Caucus are unfounded.

She said the statement is in accordance with President Akufo-Addo’s plea with the 80 NPP legislators who want Ofori-Atta removed.

She said, “we should give Ofori-Atta time to finish what he has started and afterwards we revisit the petition.”
