Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta has said the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has the numbers in Parliament to approve the proposed E-levy in the 2022 budget.

The levy has generated lots of controversies with the Minority vowing to ensure it is rejected or reduced to the barest minimum from 1.75%.

Speaking on Peace FM, Kwami Sefa Kayi, host of the morning show ‘Kokrokoo asked the mister, ‘What if the minority remains adamant on the e-levy?”

He responded “That’s why God gave us [Majority] one more vote than them. They all move to philosophically accept it, that’s a good way to move forward.”

He also noted that the levy remains at 1.75% and not 1.5% as claimed by Mr Afenyo Markin.
