We Are Not Challenging The Results, We Are Challenging The Execution Of Duty By The EC – Asiedu Nketia Tells Supreme Court

General Secretary of the NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, who is also one of the witnesses of the Petitioner in the 2020 elections, has said that their intention is not to challenge the declaration of the results in the 2020 elections per se.

According to him, the main focus of their case is rather to challenge the way and manner in which the Chairperson of the EC discharged her duties during the elections and the subsequent declaration.

Mr Asiedu Nketiah’s statement also appears to be a departure from the substance of the Petition which actually seeks to challenge the declaration of President Akufo-Addo as duly elected, and which is also praying the court to order the EC to conduct fresh elections.

The case proceeds with Mr. Asiedu Nketiah still in the witness box.
