Video: Why Bawumia’s First Wife, Ramatu Is Not Second Lady

The marital issues of Ghana’s Vice-President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia became a topic for discussion after a blunder committed by the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, during the Inauguration of President Akufo-Addo on 7th January 2021.

While acknowledging the presence of dignitaries at the Inauguration ceremony, the Speaker of Parliament mentioned Ramatu Bawumia as the Second Lady, instead of Samira who had accompanied the Second gentleman to the function.

The Speaker of Parliament was quick to clarify that the name he mentioned was what was submitted to him by the protocol handlers.

Since then, the Vice-President’s marital relationship has come under intense scrutiny with many Ghanaians wondering why the first wife has been hidden from the Public eye.

However, this portal has come across a video in which a gentleman seeks to clarify the reason why the Vice-President is always seen with his second wife, Samira Bawumia, and not the first wife.
