US-based University Refuses To Admit FDA Lawyer Because Of Role In Manasseh Azure’s Bribe Documentary

Head of Legal affairs at the Food and Drugs Authority, Madam Cynthia Dapaah-Ntow has been denied admission to the Drexel University in Philadelphia as a result of her alleged role in a bribery documentary by investigative journalist, Manasseh Azure Awuni.

Mrs. Dapaah-Ntow had applied to study the LLM in Healthcare & Pharm Compliance for the Spring Semester of 20-21 but her admission was rejected.

Curious to find out why her admission was rejected, Madam Dapaah-Ntow, in an email, sought to enquire the reasons for her rejection.

In a response sent by the Assistant Dean of Enrolment Management, Audrey Woods, on December 17, 2020, the university explained that the denial of admission had nothing to do with her academic credentials.

“We found you to be a very qualified candidate, however, it came to the attention of the admissions committee that you were under investigation for allegations of bribery which is not in line with our values and code of conduct,” the university said in an email to the FDA lawyer.

Madam Dapaah-Ntow was cited in a 2020 documentary by Manasseh Azure Awuni titled, ‘The returned bribe’, in which she allegedly demanded a bribe of $200,000, for herself and the CEO of FDA.
