Unlike Mahama, Akufo-Addo And His Gov’t Are Listening; Acting On Concerns of Ghanaians – Ellen Daaku

The Akufo-Addo administration is one of the best listening governments ever experienced in Ghana, Ellen Ama Daaku, a member of the Communications team of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has said.

In her view, the government pays attention to the concerns raised by the governed and acts on those that need to be addressed.

She said this on the New Day show on TV3 Thursday May 12 while responding to an accusation made by an aide to Former President John Dramani Mahama, Joyce Bawah Mogtari against the government to the effect that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia are arrogant.

Madam Bawah said in her view, nothing appears to be working in Ghana under the Akufo-Addo administration.

From the transport sector, to energy, labour and health, she said there a lot of issues that must be addressed by the government.

She was contributing to a discussion on the demands by the Electricity Compony of Ghana (ECG) and the Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) to increase tariffs, on TV3’s New Day show with Berla Mundi on Thursday May 12.

“Imagine of this conversation about ECG and PURC had come up when NDC was in office,” she said.

The Former Deputy Transport Minister added that “nothing is working in this country anymore.”

But in reacting to her comments, Madam Ellen Daaku said “I believe this government is one of the best listening we have had. At list there is a reaction always from the government on issues.”

She added that “We are all all Ghanaians we all feel what is going on but these issues were inherited. In 2015 when China was going through problem, Mr Mahama then President blamed our problems on China.”
