President of the Nigeria Union of Traders Association in Ghana (NUTAG), Chwukuemeka Nnaji has quizzed Information Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah’s habitat after he denied allegations from the Nigerian government that their Ghanaian counterparts are targeting and harassing Nigerian traders.
Speaking to GhanaWeb, Mr Nnaji noted that the trade war has been going on for years now and it is surprising the Information minister in response to the Nigerian government denied all the allegations.
“I don’t know where he’s living, whether he’s living in heaven or earth because the way they see things is different from what we see here. I’m not ready for political talking…he is the big man,” Chwukuemeka Nnaji said.
Nigeria in a statement through its information ministry accused Ghana of maltreating its citizens after some shops believed to be owned mainly by Nigerians were locked due to an ongoing trade war.
Ghana in a rebuttal insisted Nigerians are not being maltreated in anyway, insisting Ghana respects its relationship with the Republic of Nigeria and will not harass its citizens.
