There Is No Law That Stops A Man Of God From Passing Comments On Politicians – Methodist Bishop Dares NDC Fanatics

A Former Bishop of the Obuasi Diocese of the Methodist Church, Bishop Stephen Richard Bosomtwe Ayensu has hit back at NDC fanatics for descending on him following some comments he made about former President John Dramani Mahama.

According to the defiant cleric, politics is for all and not only for Politicians as suggested by some.

Bishop Ayensu expressed surprise that people take offense whenever he speaks his mind on politics because according to him, like everyone else, men of God also vote.

The Methodist Cleric has faced severe backlash especially from NDC fanatics after he lashed out at former President Mahama for suggesting that he will cancel the much talked about e-levy, should he win power in 2024.

Bishop Ayensu was emphatic that Mr. Mahama’s pronouncement was just an attempt to sway voters and was not coming from a genuine heart.

The Cleric’s comments have been interpreted by elements in the NDC as a clear case of political meddling by a man in cassock.
