The Monies We Borrow From Other Countries Are Their Taxes, Accept The E-Levy – Majority Leader To Ghanaians

Honorable Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu, a member of Parliament for the Suame Constituency who also serves as the Majority Leader and Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, has asked Ghanaians to pay the E-levy once more.

The MP made it clear on Okay FM this morning that Ghana has been borrowing other countries’ revenues as loans to improve the country. He went on to say that every country needs taxes to prosper, and he is urging Ghanaians to support the E-implementation levy’s in the country.

He went on to argue that the taxes Ghanaians pay are insufficient to cover all of the country’s expenses. He went on to say that it is past time to broaden the tax net, and that an E-levy is not a bad notion.

He also mentioned Property Tax, explaining that while most Ghanaians fail to pay it, other residents in other nations understand the value in doing so.

As a result, he is pushing Ghanaians to support the E-levy so that the country does not have to rely on other countries’ taxes to prosper.
