“The Akyem Sakawa Boys And Grandpas Must Go” – Hon. Adongo Writes, And Mahama Endorses

Published

on

The honorable MP for Bolga Central, Isaac Adongo has written a piece about the topical Agyapa Royalties deal, and this was shared by NDC flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama on his official facebook wall.

He wrote, “Agyapa Royalties fraud is the last straw: The Akyem Sakawa Boys and Grandpas must go
________

Agyapa Royalties deal is a big fraud on Ghana by President Akufo-Addo and his Akyem Mafia.

You mortgaged Getfund proceeds in excess of GH¢25 billion for the next 10 years to borrow $1.5 billion and yet you could not expand educational infrastructure and build new schools to end double track;

You mortgaged bauxite burried on the ground to Sinohydro to borrow $2 billion but has nothing to show after almost 2 years;

You mortgaged ESLA proceeds for the next 10 years, in excess of GH¢30 billion in 10 years to raise energy sector bonds of about $1.3 billion and yet energy sector debts remain unpaid and you have since accumulated over $2 billion additional energy sector debt with power producers threatening to shut their power plants.

You have exhausted the Ghana Infrastructure Investment Fund in which your predecessor JM left you $270 million.

You have frittered away the Ghana Exim funds, doling it out to your in-law to invest in a hotel.

In addition to borrowing $9 billion in 3 years in Eurobonds alone and illegally borrowing $500 million term bonds in February 2020, on the capital market, without Parliamentary approval in violation of Article 181 of the Constitution, all without anything to show. What magic can you perform with $500m Agyapa theft money?

How can Akufo-Addo mortgage revenues of about GH¢75 billion of the state for his maladministration to steal without caring about how his children and grandchildren will manage the economy into the future?

No wicked man has ever ruled this country and destroyed Ghana’s fiscal and debt framework the way Akufo-Addo and the empty-lying Vice President Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia have done.
It is estimated by industry players that only 11 major mining companies in Ghana will give Ghana an average of $250 million a year, $3 billion in 10 years and $4.250 billion in 15 years in royalty payments being planned to hand over to Agyapa Royalties for just $500m.

These estimates exclude new mining developments that will come onstream in the next 15 years such as the highly profitable Namdini Mining Development in the Upper East by Cardinal Resources. How did they value $4.250 billion in 15 years to arrive at $500m as 49% of that value.

You can’t put Lions in charge of sheep and expect to come back and meet the sheep alive. They will end up selling us to borrow to satisfy their insatiable corrupt habits if they are allowed one more year in office”.

Chaos In Eastern Regional NPP As Akwatia MP Defies Akufo-Addo’s Order Not To Go Independent – Party Chairman Furious

Published

on

Massive tension is reportedly brewing in the NPP in the Eastern Region after the incumbent MP for Akwatia, Mercy Adu Gyamfi, popularly known as Ama Sey was said to have defied an order from the President not to run independent.

Ama Sey who was seeking a second term lost the Parliamentary Primaries in June by four (4) votes to a young Legal Practitioner Ernest Kumi. The MP had 223 votes as against 227 polled by her main contender .

Though she asked for a recount, after she complained of being cheated, her request was turned down by the Regional Executives.

The MP’s teeming supporters have consistently alleged that some elements at the National and Regional level conspired to rig the elections against her, thereby urging her to run independent.

The MP has since been Organizing series of events to canvass more support. In one of her recent public events, she told her teaming supporters that “everyone wants quality thing so I’m urging you all to rally behind me so that on December 7, we vote for development in Akwatia. I will come to every community. I will come to every house, I will be in every Church and every group to speak to you. That is where the real issues will be talked about and at the end there will be victory”.

However, reacting to the MP’s intent to run independent on Nkwakaw-based Agoo FM, the Eastern Regional Chairman Kingston Okomeng Kissi dared the MP to go Independent.

“I dare her to go Independent. A seating Member of Parliament and you want to go Independent. Have you heard this before, it can never happen. In all I blame some top NPP gurus in the Region who are pushing her to go Independent. I want to tell them their plans will fall on their heads. At this time that some of us are busy roaming and campaigning then some people are doing this. They get money to support these things ”

“We have done everything possible and spoken to Ama Sey. Even the President has invited her and spoken to her. Our Reconciliation Committee headed by Council of state Paa Kofi Ansong have met her and spoken to her but still she is adamant. What should we do again, a whole President has spoken to you. I wouldn’t want to reveal what the President told her but for that you would have known the real character of Ama Sey in NPP. He added.

Mahama Can’t Be Sworn In As President For The Third Time; It’ll Be Constitutional Crisis – Wontumi

Published

on

The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, also known as Chairman Wontumi has claimed former president John Dramani Mahama cannot be sworn in again as President for the third time.

According to him, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer will be breaching the constitution should he be elected and sworn in again as President of Ghana.

He noted that the state sword could only be held for two times which former President Mahama has already done when he was sworn in Parliament after the late former President Mills passed on and when the Supreme Court extended his mandate after the 2012 elections.

Wontumi had always cast doubt on the eligibility of John Mahama to contest as president again and had even threatened to go to the Supreme Court.

“He can’t hold the swearing in sword for the third time. The constitution says it should be held twice and he has already held it”, he said on the Wontumi Morning show.

After NDC Raised Concerns, EC Now Says It Has Retrieved Most Of The Missing Names

Published

on

The Electoral Commission (EC) says it has retrieved most of the missing names that were detected in the newly compiled voters’ register during the exhibitions exercise.

The Commission’s Director of Electoral Services, Dr Serebour Quaicoe on Joy FM’s Newsfile show Saturday, said the Commission is left with 17,000 names more to completely rectify the anomalies identified.

According to him, political stakeholders should not insist that the register is not credible due to the missing or voters identification number duplicates since the exhibition process is to help identify the issues of the register and duly correct them.

“That is why this is a provisional register. A provisional register in the sense that it is not final, there are a lot of things that have to happen including the exhibition exercise to happen and correct the issues found,” he stated.
