The Supreme Court has today ordered the lawyers for the parties in both sides of the 2020 election petition to file their final addresses by wednesday, 17th February 2021.

The Court, presided by Chief Justice Annin Yeboah, also adjourned the case to Thursday, 18th February 2021 for further directions.

Counsel for the petitioner, Tsatsu Tsikata, however, informed the court that he will be filing for a review of the court’s judgement overruling his objection at the 1st and 2nd respondent’s decision to close their case without calling any witnesses.

Mr Tsikata also notified the court that he will be filing a motion for the court to issue a subpoena on the chairperson of the first respondent, Madam Jean Mensah to force her into the witness box.

The Chief Justice instructed the parties to file whatever motions they intended to file without prejudice to the court’s directives for them to file their final addresses.
