Some Of Us Knew Akufo-Addo Won’t Perform, It’s Not About Speaking English In A Funny Way – Murtala Mohammed

Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, a Tamale Central Member of Parliament (MP), says Ghanaians should be cautious in their hopes of President Akufo-Addo to improve the economy.

This, he claims, is because Mr Akufo-Addo, even as a Minister in the former Kufuor administration, failed to successfully manage the sectors to which he was allocated.

Despite admitting that managing government issues is tough, Murtala Mohammed stated that the Akufo-Addo administration could have performed better in light of the campaign pledges it made.

The MP argued in an interview on Prime Morning on Friday that the President has a terrible leadership record, which he said is evident in the current handling of the country’s economic woes and difficulties.

“It was really enlightening because you have someone who had previously served in government.” He served in President Kufuor’s government as a Minister, and we should be aware that he performed abysmally in both the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Justice and Attorney General, two ministries in which he served.
“It’s apparent that as a Minister of Justice, we witnessed what happened when there were several bad situations; cases that harmed his career.” He should have realized how tough it was to run even a Ministry. Murtala Mohammed told Jay Foley, “His record, the verdict at the Ministry of Justice and Attorney General was a fiasco, and everyone knows he lost countless cases he even supervised.”

“Some of us knew he wouldn’t fulfill,” he says, “because I dealt with him as Secretary-General of the All African Students Union while he was Minister of Foreign Affairs, and I’ve had multiple interactions with him.” It’s not about making a joke out of English; it’s about delivering, and it’s evident that we’re in trouble.”

He claimed that President Akufo-public Addo’s speaking talents and tempting promises may have won him the favor and interest of Ghanaians to lead the country.

He claimed that the ruling party’s plans have been messed up since there is nothing to show the citizens.

“The sad part is that in this country, people tend to listen to you when you speak English in a strange way.” People tend to listen to you when you try to slang…those things matter.

“I used to be a student leader, and if you look at elections on different campuses, you’ll notice that many people vote for those who talk really well.” “Either they’re trying desperately to learn a slang or they’re cute,” he continued.

Murtala, Ibrahim Mohammed encouraged politicians to be careful what they say during campaign rallies because they will be held accountable.
