The General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Boadu has slammed Speaker of Parliament Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagin for remarking that he has the power to dismiss President Nana Addo and that the President cannot do so.

John Boadu claimed that the skirt and blouse during the presidential and parliamentary general elections in 2020 has given the speaker of Parliament the power to brag.

“We all know the speaker is only interested in what he didn’t earn, and as a result, he makes statements that are occasionally completely superfluous. He said that “the Speaker of Parliament has no power to dismiss President Nana Addo.”

“I blame those who voted skirt and blouse, not the speaker of Parliament,” John Boadu said.

While talking with Central Regional NPP communicators in Mankessim to empower them and share knowledge on the government’s E-levy taxation and other topics, the General Secretary made this statement.

The E-levy would raise revenue for the government to build roads and other development projects in the country, according to the NPP scribe.

He urged party communicators to educate the public about the benefits of the E-levy as soon as possible, claiming that opposition political parties are misleading the people.

John Boadu noted that the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) criticism’s of Nana Addo’s government is unsurprising, and urged communicators not to allow the opposing political parties to dominate them, particularly during a radio debate.
