Shut Up! It’ll Take Us 1000 Years Before Our Democracy Matures Like America’s – Mannaseh Tells Ghanaians

Ghanaian journalist and author, Mannaseh Azure Awuni has asked Ghanaians to cut America some slack.

According to him, Ghanaians should tone down with their commentaries on the ongoing American elections.

He intimated that Ghanaians should mind their businesses and stop acting as if they have a better electoral system than what is existing in the US.

“Cut America some slack! In your country, it would take four months to deliver half a million posted ballots. And it would take a month to process and count them. But that’s not the main problem here. It will take a 1000 years to mature to a point when you can have faith in yourselves and accept the posting of ballots in the first place.”
