Secession Insurgency Is A Sign Of Government’s Abysmal Security Intelligence – Ablakwa

The Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has slammed government for its abysmal showing in dealing with the Western Togoland secessionists.

According to him, such intelligence failure is unpardonable for a country like Ghana.

He stated that, with such an elaborate security architecture under the Akuffo-Addo government, we should be doing better with intelligence gathering.

Mr. Oblakwa speaking on Joy News over the weekend urged the security services to be more proactive in their response to any security threat towards the country.

On how to deal with the secessionists, the ranking member of Parliament’s foreign affairs committee decided to sit on the fence, advising that government should use the best approach it deems fit be it negotiations or force.
