Refund 50% of All Salaries Earned In The Past 3yrs for Taking Ghana to IMF – Akufo-Addo, Ministers Told
President of policy think tank Imani Africa Franklin Cudjoe has asked President Akufo-Addo and his ministers to refund 50% of all salaries paid them in the last 3yrs.
He also says they should reduce their salaries by 60% to compensate Ghanaians after going to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for a bailout.
Already President Akufo-Addo has announced that he has reduced his salary and that of his ministers by 30%.
However, Franklin Cudjoe demands more.
” For going to the IMF, the President and ministers should refund 50% of all salaries earned in the past 3 years. Also
reduce current salaries by 60% & STOP ex-gratia payments No more private jets! Remember Sri Lanka!” He recommended.
His proposal has been met with mixed reactions.
