Rawlings’ Death: NPP To Get Sympathy Votes Over NDC – Ben Ephson

Pollster, Ben Ephson has indicated that should there be any sympathy votes in the 2020 polls due to the demise of former president Jerry John Rawlings, the NPP stands to benefit.

According to him, the National Democratic Congress did not have the best of relationships with the former president while he lived; adding that the NDC are rather shedding crocodile tears over his death.

He explain that the New Patriotic Party, who have had a good relationship with Rawlings within his last few years stood to benefit from any sympathy vote that may arise.

“If people who love Rawlings want to vote, NPP will benefit from the sympathy votes because they handled Rawlings well in the days before his death.”

“NPP can ask NDC supporters loyal to Rawlings to vote for them because, they handled him well even before his death and they also have given him a befitting burial…,” he said.
