Rawlings Cannot Call Himself A Ghanaian – Akpaloo Challenges

Presidential Candidate of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), Percival Kofi Akpaloo has insisted that former president Jerry John Rawlings is no Ghanaian considering the background of his parents.

Speaking on Peace FM, he noted that Rawlings’ mother is from the Volta Region and his father is a Scottish however, because the people of Volta practice the Patrilineal system the former President is by no means a Ghanaian.

Kofi Akpaloo who had earlier indicated that he has already been declared winner of the 2020 polls noted that he’ll be the first son of the Volta Region to ascend the Presidency and therefore called on the electorates to rally behind him.
