Rambo-Style Arrest Of Citi FM Journalists ‘Crude, Archaic, Senseless’ – Sam George

Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram, Mr Sam Nartey George, has slammed the rambo style arrest of Citi FM journalists Caleb Kudah and Zoe Abu-Baidoo on Tuesday.

In a post on facebook, he described the arrest as “crude, archaic and senseless.”

In his view, “the media has been complicit in the perpetuation of these shameless acts of intimidation and today it has come after them sadly”.

“No government, NDC or NPP, should actively be working to shut out voices of the citizenry”, he added.

The Police on Tuesday stormed the premises of Citi FM to pick up Zoe for allegedly conspiring with her colleague, Caleb Kudah, to “secretly film” the compound of the Ministry of National Security.

According to reports, Mr Kudah was arrested while filming the compound as he waited for someone he had gone there to visit.

He then, allegedly, forwarded the video to Zoe which prompted the rambo style invasion.

They’ve both been released after interrogation.
