The Awoamefia of Anlo State, Togbe Sri III has charged the government to deal with all Western Togoland secessionists according to the law without fear or favor.
The separatist movement, Western Togoland on Friday mounted a roadblock in Juapong, a town in the North Tongu District of the Volta Region.
The group further claimed to have captured 3 police personnel after attacking the Aveyime and Mepe Police Stations.
“We are seeking independence of our great motherland,” one of the separatists who failed to identify himself told Accra-based Joy FM.
However, in a statement released from the office of the Awoamezi, HRH Togbe Sri III condemned the attack which he described as an attack on the sovereignty of Ghana.
Togbe Sri further affirmed the commitment of his people to the unity and sanctity of the Sovereign state of Ghana, charging the authorities to deal with all the criminals according to the law without fear or favour.
