This portal has learned that the Crown Prosecution Services (CPS) have dropped rape charges against Influential Black Stars and Arsenal midfielder, Thomas Partey.

The CPS, explaining their decision, cited a lack of evidence to pin the said allegations on the footballer.

There had been allegations linking the midfielder to two cases of alleged rape, even though the authenticity of the reports could not be easily verified by Ghanaian media.

However, a source close to the midfielder’s family has confirmed that the reports were indeed true and that the midfielder was subjected to investigation.

According to the source, investigations have led to a lack of evidence, leading to the player being left off the hook.

However, this portal understands that the second accuser, whose identity remains unknown at the moment, is still refusing to drop her allegations despite her inability to adduce conclusive evidence.

The source explains that the whole matter could be a grand scheme by the player’s Moroccan girlfriend to drag the player down after he refused to marry her during their recent visit to Spain.

Partey is said to be in shock at the turn of events.
