Prescribed 15-25-Yr Jail Term Better Than Lawlessly Burning Excavators – Sammy Gyamfi To Nana Addo

National Communications Officer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi has called out President Akufo-Addo to adhere to what the law says on the prosecution of illegal miners.

His comment comes after the president backed the burning of galamsey excavators daring his critics to go court.

However, Sammy Gyamfi believe the President is being lawless with his approach.

“The prosecution and 15- to 25-year imprisonment of illegal miners, as provided under Ghana’s Minerals and Mining Act, is a more deterrent and effective way of fighting the galamsey menace than the burning of excavators. #StopTheLawlessness”, Sammy Gyamfi wrote on Facebook.
