Popular Fetish Priest, Kwaku Bonsam ‘Sweats Profusely’ At Manhyia Palace After Incurring The Anger Of Asanteman

Popular Fetish Priest, Kwaku Bonsam did not have it easy at the Manhyia Palace, the seat of the Asante Kingdom, when he appeared before the traditional court of the Asantehemaa, Nana Ama Konadu.

The fetish priest had been summoned by the Asanteman Traditional authorities to answer why he invoked curses on the incumbent MP for Offinso North, A.C Ntim.

The fetish priest invoked the curses on the MP even though it is a taboo to do engage in such a practice in the Asante Kingdom.

Nana Kwaku Bonsam invoked the power of six deities, both local and foreign to deal ruthlessly with any voter who gets transported to the Offinso North constituency to vote in the parliamentary polls on December 7.

Kwaku Bonsam pleaded guilty to the offence and asked for a peaceful resolution of the matter after he had been charged by the Traditional Court.

Accepting his plea, the chiefs took turns to scold Nana Kwaku Bonsam, for his action, describing it as an affront to Asante tradition.

They were unhappy that a prominent fetish priest of his calibre, will stoop so low to denigrate Asante tradition with such awful behaviour.

Subsequently, he was sentenced to a series of fines, running into several thousands of Ghana cedis and a full-blown sheep with horns to pacify the gods and also reverse the curse.
