Police Arrests 22 Persons For Holding Lesbian Wedding In Kwahu

The Police in Kwahu-Obomeng in the Eastern Region have arrested 22 Persons in connection with an alleged Lesbian Wedding that was held in the Area.

The said marriage ceremony was held under strict secrecy with a Pastor in attendance, though it is not yet clear if the said pastor was also a member of the LGBTQI group.

A local-based journalist who narrated the sequence of events to Online portal, Ghanaweb, explained that about 50 persons were present for the ceremony.

The journalist further narrated that the Police moved in to disrupt the event just as the supposed couple were making their way out to be wed.

The suspects reportedly denied holding a lesbian marriage, claiming to be holding a birthday ceremony instead.

The owner of the facility where the event was held has reportedly been summoned by the Chief of Kwawu-Obomeng, Nana Effah Opinaman II.
