Petition: I Always Knew Tsikata Will Say One Of Their Witnesses Is Unwell – Lawyer Ampaw

I was not surprised to hear lead Counsel for the Petitioner in the Election Petition case, Lawyer Tsatsu Tsikata tell the Supreme Court that one of their witnesses was suffering from health complications, Lawyer Maurice Ampaw has said.

According to him, looking at the way Tsatsu had been finding ways to delay proceedings by filing application after application, it was obvious it would get to a point where he would tell the court their witness is sick.

Speaking on NEAT FM’s morning show Ghana Montie, Lawyer Ampaw said “I predicted this, looking that the way Tsatsu is always filing an application in court, I knew this day will come for him to file an application that someone is sick, and he has. He is so predictable.”

Mr Tsikata on Wednesday told the court that the petitioner had one more witness to present however, he was suffering from health complications he cannot make public.

His argument came after an application filed by the petitioner for the 1st respondent; EC Chairperson, Jean Mensa, to produce some documents including Constituency and regional collation sheets for inspection, was dismissed by the court.
