Paying Your Wives Salaries From Our Taxes Is Not Protecting The Public Purse – Ras Mubarak To Akufo-Addo

Former member of Parliament for Kunbungu, Ras Mubarak has questioned the logic behind the President’s decision to pay salaries to First and Second ladies.

In a post on Facebook, he wondered if President Akufo-Addo is still in the business of protecting the public purse as he said during his inaugural speech in 2017.

“Disastrously short of the standards the public expects. First and Second ladies of serious countries do not receive a salary. Paying your wives salaries from our taxes isn’t protecting the public purse,” he wrote.
