Pay Contractors Of The ‘Toilets’ You’re Commissioning – Mahama To Akufo-Addo

Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has told President Akufo-Addo to pay monies owed contractors who built the toilets his government has been commissioning ahead of the 2020 polls.

Mahama while on a campaign tour in the Eastern Region noted that these contractors are being chased by banks which borrowed them the monies.

“President Akufo-Addo and Dr Bawumia, the contractors said they haven’t been paid after completing the [project you are commissioning], please pay them. This government has destroyed the work of contractors. Most of them are now at home jobless. 538 contractors built toilets that you are commissioning, yet you are not paying them,” he said.

He added, “some borrowed money and used [it] to pre-finance the projects but they haven’t paid.”
