Parliament Won’t Be Approving Appointees Who Go About Shooting And Slapping People – Dominic Ayine
NDC- Bolgatanga East MP, Dr. Dominic Akuritinga Ayine has noted that Parliament will not be approving any appointee of President Akufo-Addo who has been famed for slapping and shooting people.
According to the former Deputy Attorney General, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has so many brilliant men and women who can be equally nominated to some of the positions.
“It mustn’t be the case that anybody the president brings even if the person is a thief or a hooligan or somebody who goes about slapping people and shooting people all over the place, the person should be vetted and approved to become a minister,” Dr Dominic Ayine said, “That shouldn’t happen,” he told Paul Adom-Otchere on Good Evening Ghana, Tuesday, January 26, 2021.
“On this Appointments Committee thing, why can’t we sit together and look at the president’s nominees when they come, and see if there is a nominee who is coming with a lot of baggage; the NPP should be the first [….] to tell the president that ‘look this baggage is just too much for us to bring to parliament, the person will be rejected.”

‘NDC Polling Agents Sold Our Pink Sheets To NPP For GHS2K, GHS5K’ – Atubiga Boldly Claims
A member of the Communications Team of the NDC, Stephen Atubiga has boldly claimed that some polling agents of the party in some constituencies sold NDC’s copies of the pink sheets of the 7 December 2020 polls, to people within the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) for between GHS2,000 and GHS5,000.
Speaking on Class FM’s Mid-day news programme he said, “I’m spilling the beans today: there’s an allegation of some of our people, our boys, who sold the pink sheets out, they sold our pink sheets for between GHS2,000 and GHS5,000. I’m telling you. Put me on record.”
He said such “greed” conspired with “negligence and personal interests” to rob the NDC of victory in the polls.
He further indicated that he’ll be petitioning the leadership of the party to launch investigations into his claims.
“…The IT directors, Griffiths; they all have questions to answer when we go for the petition. They have to tell us: did our system break down? With IT today, we are supposed to have the 275 pink sheets, even if not anything, electronically taking pictures and sending to us”, he noted.
“But put me on record that there is an allegation that most of our members sold our pink sheets out from GHS2,000 to GHS5,000 and ran away with it. So, there’s going to be an official petition by me, Stephen Atubiga, on behalf of the youth”, he reiterated.

‘Unbecoming’ Sammy Gyamfi Needs Mental Check Up – Chairman Wontumi
The Ashanti Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Bernard Antwi Boasiako, also known as Chairman Wontumi has admonished Sammy Gyamfi over his recent attacks on the NDC leadership in Parliament.
Sammy Gyamfi in a Facebook post had expressed unhappiness over the approval of some minister nominees of the government and fired leaders of the NDC caucus Alban Bagbin, Haruna Iddrisu and Muntaka Mubarak for betraying the party.
In reaction, Chairman Wontumi wondered who Sammy Gyamfi sought to be ministers if those presented to Parliament were rejected.
“Sammy Gyamfi needs to get his head checked. He needs to get a place where he can get his head checked because he is becoming unbecoming. If he wants an appointment in the Akufo-Addo government, he should come and lobby me. He should bring his CV so I see his working experience and know what he wants to do so I get him a position,” he was quoted by mynewsgh.

NDC Will Have Their Worst Defeat In 2024; They’ll Know Their Rightful Place – John Boadu
General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has indicated that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) are going to be put at their rightful place by the time the 2024 polls is over.
His comment comes after the final verdict of the 2020 election petition.
According to him, the NDC knew its presidential candidate lost the December 7, 2020 elections but only wanted to go to court as a face-saving option.
“We are happy that they chose the option of seeking redress in court because that clearly brought out the misinformation and mischief that they want to sow among their supporters.”
“Their worst defeat is not yet in,” he noted.
“We are going to deliver that defeat in 2024 and send them to their right places,” Mr Boadu told some NPP supporters at the party’s headquarters in Accra on Thursday, March 4.
