Owusu Bempah’s Arrest And Detention Shows IGP Dampare Is Not Here To Play

Social media reacted with shock yesterday evening after it emerged that so-called Spiritual Father of the President, Reverend Owusu Bempah had been arrested.

Owusu Bempah, after President Akufo-Addo assumed the highest office of the land, had arrogated unto himself, power like never seen before.

Claiming to be the Spiritual heavyweight that brought President Akufo-Addo to power, and with his close proximity to the corridors of power, Owusu Bempah might have forgotten for a moment, that he was but a mere citizen.

After leading his junior Pastors and some thugs with weapons to the house of fetish priestess-turned Evangelist Nana Agradaa, it turned out that Reverend Owusu Bempah was living on borrowed time.

In what appears to be a clearest signal yet that this is a new Ghana Police Service, IGP George Akuffo Dampare ordered his men to arrest the controversial cleric and his boys after they had the effrontery to assault some police officers who had gone to their church premises.

We now know that two of Owusu Bempah’s boys are currently on the run and are being pursued by the Ghana Police.

The Police have also indicated that Reverend Owusu Bempah and his boys will be processed for court today.

Now, at least, we know that there is a positive change happening in the Ghana Police Service and IGP Dampare just won our hearts.
