NPP’s Gabby Defends Allowances To 1st And 2nd Ladies, Says The Constitution Did Not Bar Them From Being Paid

A leading member of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Gabby Otchere Darko has said the 1992 Constitution of the Republic of Ghana did not prevent First and Second Ladies in Ghana from being paid allowances.

According to him, It is wether or not we [Ghanaians] believe they [1st and 2nd ladies] deserve it. He added that, formalising their payment is the right thing to do.
