The New Patriotic Party’s Director of Elections, Mr. Evans Nimako says the party will absorb the filing fees announced by the Electoral Commission for all of its aspirants ahead of the December 7 polls.
Speaking on Okay FM’s ‘Ade Akye Abia’ Morning Show, Evans Nimako indicated that the NPP is making the preparations that between October 5 and October 9, it will present the nomination form of the Presidential Candidate with full payment as required by the Electoral Commission.
According to him, this is to show that the whole New Patriotic Party (NPP) is behind President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and are confident of a resounding victory for him and the party in the upcoming general elections.
Mr. Nimako also noted that the filing fee of the EC is non-negotiable; thus, “no one can bargain for the EC to reduce the cost of the filing fees it has announced”.
“The NPP is making the preparation that between October 5 and October 9, we will present the nomination form of our Presidential Candidate, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, and find money to pay the Electoral Commission’s required filing fee,” he assured.
He added that the NPP will sponsor all their 275 Parliamentary candidates.
