NPP Delegate Collapses, Dies After His Candidate Failed To Win Chairmanship Race

The Upper East Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Anthony Namoo has confirmed the death of one member of the political party after the declaration of the Constituency election results.

According to him, Amaliba Azika collapsed when the candidate he was rooting for Awudu Asonya, did not make the mark after the declaration of the results.

Amaliba Azika who is said to be an Assembly Member of the Bolgatanga Municipal Assembly was rushed to the Regional Hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival.“zone name”,”placement name”,”placement id”,”code (direct link)” pasteghana.com,SocialBar_1,17116788,””

Speaking in an interview with Bolgatanga-based Radio, Anthony Namoo who confirmed the death said “My condolences also go to Bolgatanga Central. I understand that after some results were declared, one of our party members collapsed and unfortunately lost his life.

That goes to show how people can emotionally invest their minds, hearts, and thoughts in the party. It is our prayer that God will grant him good rest. He died fighting for a course that he believed in”.

The New Patriotic Party has begun its elections to select leaders who will lead the party into the 2024 elections.

The political party says it intends to make history with a win in 2024 and this will be achieved only when they can fulfil their promises to the people of Ghana.

The Constituency elections have been characterized by confusion and misunderstandings because some party members feel cheated.
