Vice Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Prof Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang has promised to discontinue witch camps in the country should the NDC be brought back to power in 2021.

Speaking to inmates of the Gambaga Witches Camp in the North East region where she visited to campaign, Naana Jane stated that the existence of a witch camp is a dent on the country’s image and the NDC wll make it a priority to phase it out.

Furthermore, she assured a map out plan will be rolled out to help these alleged witches to reintegrate back into society.

We shall tackle this menace decisively,” Prof. Opoku-Agyemang said while rallying: “All those interested in the all-inclusive development of the country should support the NDC to return to power.

“The 2020 election campaign will be based on the record and not insults. We have done it before, and we will do it again,” she added.

The issue of witch camps have been under severe scrutiny recently after the murder of 90-year old Madam Akua Denteh in Kafaba, who was alleged a witch.
